Fantasy Football Cheatsheets 2009: Overall Rankings

Yes boys and girls, its that time of year, fantasy football season! So before you sign up for Yahoo Sports fantasy football, its about time that we started updating our fantasy football cheatsheets for the 2009 season.

This year will be different than most years, with a crop of new players taking over the first round and if the transition from RB to WR domination wasn’t evident in the last few years just take a look at the first round this year which is choc full of receivers, quarterbacks and of course running backs. If a kicker ever takes a spot in the first round of our fantasy football cheat sheets, feel free to punch us square in the face.

Anyway without further ordue, here is our overall fantasy football cheatsheet for 2009:

1. Adrian Peterson – The obvious choice
2. Maurice Jones-Drew – Fragile Freddy is gone, MJD jumps up huge
3. Michael Turner – Can he take another pounding in the ATL?
4. Matt Forte – Another workload question, but Forte is a stud
5. LaDainian Tomlinson – We still believe, he may fall further
6. Steven Jackson – The Rams finally got a fullback to block for him
7. DeAngelo Williams – Not sure if I believe fully but last year was impressive
8. Frank Gore – The Niners should be much improved in 2009
9. Steve Slaton – Not the biggest cat in the world, may take a pounding
10. Larry Fitzgerald – S-T-U-D. WRs are risky in the 1st but hes worth it.
11. Chris Johnson – Like Slaton, size is a concern but he has great speed
12. Randy Moss – Brady is back… uh oh!
13. Calvin Johnson – Think the Lions can’t score? Think again!
14. Andre Johnson – Possibly the best WR of the group, gets no respect.
15. Brandon Jacobs – Ward is a Buc, Jacobs is a stud.
16. Clinton Portis – Doesn’t score a lot but puts up great stats.
17. Brian Westbrook – Should be higher but ankle injury is a big concern.
18. Ronnie Brown – He wasn’t 100% last year, this year’s breakout stud.
19. Reggie Wayne – Peyton throws to him… nuf said.
20. Drew Brees – 5000 yards, tons of touchdowns, he does it again.

That’s a look at our 2009 fantasy football cheatsheet rankings for all positions, we will break down position by postion as the season gets closer.
